Mount St. Mary's University (MSMU) is a private, liberal arts, Catholic university in the Catoctin Mountains near historic Emmitsburg, Maryland, with a satellite campus for adult students in Frederick, Maryland. Every year, MSMU reaches out to prospective and accepted students with marketing materials that showcase a scenic campus and a top-notch education with small student-to-faculty ratio for undergraduate students.
MSMU asked me to partner with them for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 academic years to help produce and design materials for their admissions marketing efforts, in an effort to increase enrollment and update brand standards created by their in-house designer.
I collaborated with lead graphic designer Erin Tinney to produce a series of marketing materials for the MSMU traditional undergraduate admissions department, one of which was the 12-page transfer student booklet you see here. The design utilizes updated branding, fonts, and color palette, as well as a variety of photos that display life as a student at MSMU.
As a result of our design and marketing efforts, the number of enrolled students was the fourth highest in the history of the college (founded in 1808), at a time when higher education enrollment as a whole is on the decline.
